Description:

The Office for Life Sciences and the University of Liverpool have recently made significant investment to address the optimisation of antibiotic treatment and combat the rise of AMR. This position will support the Principal Investigators, Professor Iain Buchan and Professor William Hope, in creating and leading a local network for research and capacity strengthening on optimising antibiotic treatment.
AMR-X is a collaborative action research network focused on antimicrobial optimisation for use in humans, underpinned by the values of equity, public/practitioner co-production, training, capacity, and capabilities strengthening, and implementation. Its vision is a world where health informatics can facilitate the appropriate, evidence-based use of antibiotics.
This ambitious programme of work will be delivered across Liverpool over the next 2 years. It will have wide reaching benefits for the City Region whilst raising the profile of all partners as global leaders in digital health innovation and novel approaches to combatting antibiotic resistance. The team are now looking for an experienced and well-organised individual who can lead development of the AMR-X software interfaces in local healthcare, in an open, collaborative environment that respects the governance and requirements of the data owners and subjects.
You will work exclusively on the AMR-X project to manage, coordinate, and support the programme leads on data and digital innovation projects with a focus on the AMR-X project. Provide technical expertise and solutions, which meet the requirements of the large and diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external. Support and advise related projects throughout the lifecycle of the programme, including linkage with SMEs, estimating project budgets, and providing oversight of the project finances.
You will have a Degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience).
The post is fixed term until 30 November 2025, with the vision for continuation based on funding.
The University has the right to close the vacancy early if it is deemed that there have been enough applications receive
