Description:
AVI Foodsystems Inc., is seeking an experienced Software Developer with a focus on full stack web development, to be part of the Information Technology team at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, Ohio.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as a developer with proven experience in the various technologies listed below. The right candidate will be passionate about creating well written and maintainable code. This person will work on cutting edge projects within our Innovation team to help propel AVI into the future and beyond. You will be passionate about helping to build tools that our team members and customers need to take their business to the next level.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
- A desire to stay current on chosen technologies
- Experience working with the latest versions of Web Frameworks such as .Net and Angular.
- Knowledge of common development patterns and SOLID principles
- Experience writing unit (XUnit, Jest) and integration tests (Cypress)
- Experience with ORMs such as Entity Framework
- Works well in a team environment and is excited about learning and sharing knowledge
- Experience with best practices for creating and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with NGRX (or similar State Management packages)
- Experience with reactive programming
- Experience with Cloud Based deployments (AWS knowledge in particular)
- Experience working with PWA and/or Cross Platform development tools such as Ionic, React Native, Nativescript, etc.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes would be nice to have
Responsibilities:
- Write well tested and maintainable code
- Collaborate in an agile team environment to help define acceptance criteria and influence architecture decisions.
- Be actively involved in all phases of SDLC
- Hands on development with full stack web development (you don’t have to be good at it all, but base competency in the full stack would be needed)
- Participate in meetings with end users in order to refine requirements
- Work collaboratively with other IT team members including software developers, systems administrators and management
