Pay Range: $44,051 – 134,860 annually
Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle
NFM’s Software Development Analyst spends part of their time in an analytical position which requires a deeper understanding of a diverse set of applications, their purpose, and impacts to other applications and processes. The SDA works with product owners to understand their challenges and identify potential solutions to achieve desired outcomes. The SDA will perform setup or create specifications, depending on the scenario, to achieve satisfactory results. The JD Edwards SDA is responsible for production support, testing, and analysis. Successful candidates will have knowledge of Finance, Accounts Payable, Vendor Receivables (VRAP) and JD Edwards. Experience working with databases (SQL), application development concepts, and a strong desire to continually learn new technologies are highly desirable. This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in NE, IA, MO, KS, or TX.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Complete: Perform module and/or system testing as need, based on departmental guidelines. Log and communicate errors to the programmer assigned to the task - Retest as necessary until the program(s) meet requirements based on specifications and departmental guidelines
  • Organize: Coordinate implementation of tasks with the programmer, ASD Representative, and/or user representative assigned to the task - Research the process/function related to assigned tasks
  • Balance: Communicate specifications with the programmer assigned to the task. Perform additional analysis as needed during development and testing for task
  • Collaborate: Meet with users and/or other analysts to problem solve/define needs - Identify and analyze possible system solutions/designs
  • Support: Assist users in process reviews, procedures development, and training as needed - Provide user support in answering system related questions, resolving system related issues, as needed

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

  • Bachelor’s degree with area of specialization in Information Systems or related field
  • 2+ years of software development experience or a minimum of 3 years NFM experience that included being active in problem solving, process improvement, training, ASD User Representative for the work area that the team is responsible for
  • Fundamental knowledge of the software development process and methodology, and the demonstrated ability to apply to completion of somewhat difficult assignments
  • Ability to accomplish somewhat difficult tasks and make decisions with limited supervision and review by others.
  • Project leadership skills – demonstrated ability to lead projects small in size, complexity and impact - or - tasks that are large in scope, complexity and impact
  • Supervision skills – demonstrated ability to lead and direct staff for projects assigned
  • Available to provide on-call support 24 hours per day, 7 days a week as needed
  • Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Technical skills – fundamental understanding of application software and system concepts and the ability to apply them for the completion of somewhat difficult assignments
  • Basic computer skills plus knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
