Description:
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science related fields OR 1+ years equivalent experience in software development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable professional experience in software development.
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java or Python

As an SDE at Amazon, you can expect to design flexible, scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming.

A day in the life
You will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists to build a new mobile experience focused on helping our Selling Partners run and grow their businesses. You will work across teams and with AWS solutions. You will be the primary driver of the decisions around technology solutions and data flows. We are embedded with a Software organization, so you will have access to the growing team of software developers and product managers as we tackle solutions to improve the lives of our Selling Partners.
About the team
Seller Customer Service (SellerCS) Org enables Buyers and Selling Partners to contact each other pre and post order for customer service, issue resolution and proactive problem prevention. The insights and trustworthy team in SellerCS is responsible for building a new Seller experience called Manage Your Customer Communications (MYC2) which will help give Sellers better insights into what actions they should take to enhance their customer service. In addition to launching and maintaining a new experience this team is responsible for improving and maintaining critical systems responsible for delivery of Buyer messages to Selling Partners (and vice versa).

Cloud computing experience, especially with Amazon Web Services - Functional programming language experience

Large-scale web service/site experience
Software architecture, especially event-driven architecture

Effective problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

The base salary for this position ranges from $89,700/year up to $149,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
