Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Redmond-based client is looking for a Software Design Engineer for a Onsite based position in Redmond, WA.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the infrastructure automation team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools utilized by hundreds of engineers across the organization. You will collaborate closely with partner teams to gather requirements, provide feedback on existing systems, and design innovative solutions to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation tools for orchestrating the deployment of services across various regions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on existing infrastructure automation systems.
- Architect and implement innovative solutions to automate validation processes and enable fully automated deployments.
- Develop and maintain integrations with Microsoft proprietary and cloud-native deployment frameworks.
- Design and implement observability tools to enable application teams to collect telemetry and monitor the health of compute clusters.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of automation tools to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Should have bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
- Must have 8+ years of experience required.
- Must have strong proficiency in C#.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must have experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Should have strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Should have familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Should have knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Microsoft proprietary deployment frameworks such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Ev2
- Familiarity with observability tools and practices such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
