SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST – QA AUTOMATION

Client is a growing organization and is looking for a self-motivated individual with strong QA experience and a passion for high quality software to join our team! The ideal person is passionate about software testing with the key ability to think critically and identify software breaking issues within our mobile platform.
Must be available to work between 8:00 - 5:00pm PST.
This is a full-time contract role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Five + years UI test Automation programming experience with Java, Kotlin or Swift, Mobile App preferred (Android or iOS).
• Strong experience with test tools, test case design and implementation. Be able to debug and trouble shoot issues with device, build environment and application configure issues
• Good understanding of database and service-oriented application or test framework.
• Good understanding of programming design approaches and patterns. Be able to design and maintain new or existing test infrastructure
• Good understanding of mobile application test process and methods
• Hands on experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript or Cucumber

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with GitHub Enterprise platform a plus
• Familiar with Agile test development process, be able to effectively communicate with team members and deal with ambiguities
• API and database testing experiences

• Work closely with engineers and peers in QA to design, create, implement, and maintain manual and automated test suites
• Be responsible for reporting and testing progress and the overall “health” of your feature area(s) throughout the development cycle
• Create problem reports and then track their progression through to resolution
• Create targeted tools to help facilitate testing for yourself and others as well as document both planning and test execution
• Other related duties as assigned
