    We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Prime Video Ports (PVP) team. The PVP team owns the Prime Video app on hundreds of high-profile Living Room devices, such as PS5, Xbox and Android TVs. The work you will do has a direct impact on our millions of customers around the world. We are looking for a polyglot experienced software engineer who is excited by the challenge of working across multiple tech-stacks and languages including Kotlin/Java, C++, and TypeScript.
    Candidates will have an understanding of stable, scalable systems that have been successfully deployed in a business setting. You will be passionate about technology with a focus on the customer experience and great teamwork.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative products and services.
  • Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software.
  • Provide operational support to ensure any device-specific issues are prevented or quickly mitigated.

A day in the life
You will work as the tech lead for one of our small Agile teams, launching and growing new initiatives for Amazon’s global business. As an engineer, you can be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to development and deployment across a variety of technologies - giving you a real sense of ownership. Together we build systems which meet high standards of performance and reliability and operate at massive scale.

About the team
