    Key job responsibilities
You will be involved in developing and maintaining a system that must efficiently handle large data volumes and highly confidential data. Because we deal with financial data, such as forecasting, budget management, accounting and payments the code we write must conform to high standards of accuracy and consistency. A successful candidate will have strong technical ability, and an established background in developing full-stack, n-tier systems.
You will have opportunities to design and implement full stack solutions, solving enterprise problems for processing large volumes of data and providing real time updates to user interfaces for financial modelling of video deals. We empower our people to explore new technologies, and to build scalable and reusable components. You will join a wider tech community that promotes a number of learning & growth opportunities via hackathons, learn & be curious time, design confabs and design reviews.

SOME OF THE ENGINEERING CHALLENGES WE FACE:

  • Design services for horizontal scalability – the volume of data we handle grows continuously – leveraging innovative system design solutions and AWS services.
  • Supporting global business teams. Build systems for a global organisation, but think local to meet the needs of local markets. Understanding the needs of our users and the problems they face will be an important part of your role.
  • We deal with highly confidential data. Design systems and components to be highly secure but very efficient in how they present data to users and other systems.
  • Design for flexibility and maintain data quality. Amazon evolves quickly, what we design today will change tomorrow, so our systems need to adapt quickly to evolving business needs. You will design systems that are extensible, innovating system design thinking. With flexibility and adaptability comes risk: our job is to ensure quality remain high while we keep up with new business needs.
