Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role, delivering applications using agile methodologies.
  • Strong technical background encompassing software design, development, and testing.
  • In-depth understanding of software development best practices and methodologies.
  • Expertise in Agile Methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Proven experience in delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
  • Adapt development processes to team maturity and product state, striving for best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ability to present complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Track record of developing individuals from diverse backgrounds, coupled with proficiency in software development tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a successful history of delivering high-quality software products.

Responsibilities:

The Aldo Group is looking for a Software Development Manager to join our Digital Team who will be responsible for leading and managing a team of software developers in the development and delivery of high-quality software products. The Software Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development process from conception to delivery. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing software development projects and teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Foster a culture of improvement by regularly assessing and enhancing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Lead and motivate your team of developers and QAs to ensure the successful development and delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Guide team members with effective feedback and discussions about career development, acting as a mentor for their growth.
  • Evaluate team members’ performance, identifying potential issues and offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, promoting job listings, conducting interviews, and making impactful hiring decisions.
  • Analyze team capacity and workload for optimal resource utilization while also managing PTO requests.

Drive change toward best practices

  • When required, drive RCA and CAPA, ensuring robust problem-solving.
  • Proactively identify and address issues, ensuring alignment with set goals and objectives. Supervise engineering deliverables to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with software development best practices, standards, and methodologies, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Work closely with development teams to design and develop the best technical designs and approaches.
  • Activate appropriate processes to address issues beyond the scope of software engineering, ensuring a holistic approach to problem resolution.

Provide monitoring and coordination toward initiative and goals

  • Work with product owners and technical leads to estimate workload, set deadlines and allocate projects/tasks at a high level to ensure projects get completed on time.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
