The Software Development Manager is a key role in the Brightree Technology Pharmacy team. This role focuses on clear ownership of our product from cradle-to-grave. Development responsibilities include analysis, design, programming, performance, security, quality assurance, and Tier 3 support. This pivotal role serves to guarantee delivered technical solutions meet the needs of the Brightree Organization with specific focus on Development, Quality Assurance, Security, Product, Implementation, Support, and Documentation Teams.

Let’s talk about the Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test software; Verify software behavior meets requirements through manual and automated tests; Deliver quality product within timeline; Document product design; Analyze, debug and help resolve customer issues; Collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Direct reporting responsibility for multiple pharmacy teams made up of Software Development and Quality engineers.
  • Focuses on the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives that help achieve organizational mission. Implements organization strategies through the effective direction and management of employees and resources.
  • Leads architectural design and coordinate with software engineering directors and managers as necessary for a consistent approach within the suite of applications.
  • Active participation in all aspects of the agile process including, but not limited to story reviews, sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives.
  • Often leads a cooperative effort among members of cross-functional project teams.
  • Coaches team members on performance, provide inputs for performance evaluations and involved in pay actions.

Let’s talk about you

  • 5+ years of experience mentoring software engineering resources, preferably for a software company using Microsoft technologies in a web-based application.
  • Experience designing and developing large-scale web applications in an agile environment
  • 5+ years of experience with MS SQL Server (TSQL/SQL) in a high-volume transaction environment
  • Strong object-oriented knowledge and practical experience with design patterns
  • Practical experience with source code configuration, versioning and promotion
  • Experience working in a SaaS model
  • Experience working in environments with a DevOps Culture and exposure to Continuous Delivery

Preferred:

  • Proven pharmacy domain expertise.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Applies acquired expertise and exercises judgment to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent.
  • Analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.

This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance.
Base Pay Range for this position:
$121,000 - $181,000
