As our Software Development Manager, you will be managing and overseeing the in-house development team to deliver to a high standard, ensuring that they understand the Technology Roadmap and deliver on time, to budget and of a high quality.
You will have direct line management of the Development team consisting of both internal and 3rd party resources. Understanding how to get the best out of this blended model and shaping the team for future success. You will also report and review progress of development activity, clearly planning activities both for new changes and support requirements.
You will engage with key stakeholders and external parties on a regular basis. Working with the Head of Digital Transformation & Engineering to understand organisational needs and resource plan accordingly.
What you’ll need -
You’ll have experience of line managing and coaching a team of developers to build solutions from initiation to service transition in complex organisations, and be confident and engaging with 3rd party providers
You’ll have a good understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem; Dynamics Business Central, CRM, Azure alongside .net experience and be able to work within both Agile and Waterfall frameworks
You’ll be able to communicate with individuals from different parts of the organisation, up to executive level.
We’re looking for candidates with real life experience of running software development teams end to end, who are comfortable navigating complexities along the way. You’ll have worked in large, complex organisations with multiple systems and building out applications that provide real solutions to the everyday challenges experienced by our customers.
