Summary
The Software Development intern will work on projects that enable Laser Quantum’s manufacturing and engineering departments to make better decisions, improve quality and productivity. Working within the software development team to generate tools to analyze and present data. Software development at Laser Quantum covers a broad range of disciplines including UI building, hardware integration, image analysis, data analysis and more!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Developing tools for analyzing and presenting data for various company-wide projects and initiatives. Documenting the analysis processes and design.
  • Maintenance of existing software including bug fixes and feature integration.
  • Testing of new software features and generating constructive feedback to root cause issues.

General Tasks

  • Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • Student working toward Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • C#, Python, Matlab or another related programming language.
  • Git.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to collaborate and explain findings clearly.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
