YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Information Technology Degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years experience in Software Engineering, IS/IT or equivalent roles
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• In depth experience with DevSecOps tools and languages.
• Knowledge of Puppet, Ansible, VRealize, Terraform, Packer, K8S/Tanzu highly regarded.
• IS/IT infrastructure required for DevSecOps, including networking, storage, databases, virtualisation, containers, Linux, Windows etc.
• Knowledge of VMWare, RHEL, NetApp highly regarded.
• Experience in estimating, planning, deploying and maintaining solutions in an operational environment.

AS A SOFTWARE DEVOPS ENGINEER, YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Support the deployment of a new DevSecOps environment based on best in class tools and infrastructure as part of a generational change in tools across Thales Australia
• Tailor a worldwide shared DevOps approach to the Australian regulatory environment and IS/IT infrastructure, enabling rapid deployment of updates and security patches
• Taking ownership of the legacy DevOps code and environment currently in operations through to decommissioning
• Finding pragmatic solutions to transition from legacy tools to the chosen modern tool suites (supported by technical experts in the team and across the business)
• Encouraging adoption of new tools, processes and methodologies within the team
