REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for candidates with the following:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field or its equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Senior 5+ years experience
• Working knowledge of C#, C++ and Java programming languages
• Extensive experience working directly with SQL databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• JEE, Spring skills/experience beneficial
• Experience working with SSAS cubes
• Experience with using Jenkins and Git
• Experience in using ETL tools and techniques to load data to and from our database

RESPONSIBILITIES

An outstanding opportunity exists to join a global market leader and dominant force in the Australian gaming market. IGT is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of gaming products and systems. IGT Australia provides a range of gaming products, systems and services to the Club, Hotel and Casino industries.
IGT is searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Melbourne based team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining high quality software for all gaming products.
We have an office/test lab in Notting Hill however this role will be primarily a work from home role with occasional trips into the office for testing and other activities that cannot be completed at home.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interacts with Software Engineers and Managers at different levels; therefore, must possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong personal interaction and leadership skills
• Contributes to design and development/maintenance of software within the C++ (MFC), C# and Java code bases
• Database development implementing business rules and reporting within a SQL database
• Participates in code reviews of other team members
• Proficient in Software Development, Software Design, Software Maintenance, Software Engineering Tools and Software Quality
• Adheres to software engineering standards.
