Description:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior Software Development Experience
  • Languages Angular; Javascript; .NET/C#
  • Knowledge of relational databases (such as Postgres or Oracle)
  • Experience of AWS Cloud Infrastructure& Services
  • Information Security Techniques
  • Version Control Systems (i.e. GIT)
  • Integration Technologies (such as Web Services; MQ; JMS; FTP)
  • Technology Troubleshooting skills
  • ALM Tools such as Jira or AzureDevOps
  • Operating Systems; Windows
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively at many levels, translating technical concepts into jargon free descriptions for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to manage own time, aiming to complete work agreed within the forecasted time in support of the agile team.

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Software Engineer to join their friendly team as we rapidly expand our customer base. You will work as part of an established software development team using your skills and experience in software development to deliver features from our roadmap, and supporting customer enhancements.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The successful Software Engineer candidate will work as part of the software development team using their skills and experience in both software development and DevSecOps practices to deliver features on one of our key airline messaging systems. It is expected that the individual will be working towards being a full-stack software engineer, but initially we are looking for someone that has strong experience in web user interface development

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working within a software development team to develop, test and deploy software.
  • Supporting other developers to test their features
  • Adhering to processes relating to the role and company
  • Collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure tasks are well understood

  • Responding to and investigating customer tickets.
