Software Engineer
Job Description
As a Software Engineer on the Digital Risk and Compliance team, you will be focused on the back-end systems that power our industry leading products focused on Social, Mobile and Web security and compliance. These highly sophisticated systems are responsible for protecting the social channels of some of the largest brands in the world, as well as monitoring the mobile and web presences of many of those same brands.
You will be responsible for fixing bugs and developing tools within our back-end infrastructure. You will also be contributing to new features as you grow into our team and become a core contributor.
Responsibilities:
- Investigating issues and developing fixes
- Building and scaling systems within the engineering team
- Creating tools to monitor production systems
- Developing test infrastructure
- Adding new features to solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced English level (B2+)
- Extensive experience with production cloud applications
- Proficiency in Ruby or a similar interpreted language like Python
- Experience with Ruby on Rails (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of secured APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.)
- Experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of database-backed web application architecture
- Basic system administration in a Linux, Apache, MySQL environment
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with enterprise-class product development tools and processes
