The Role
Covetrus is a global animal health organization providing a range of integrated products and services which drive improved clinical and financial outcomes for vets and pet owners. As we enter an exciting phase of our SaaS journey, we are seeking an experienced Frontend Software Developer to join our Provet Pty Ltd entity and Technology Solutions team on a permanent, full time basis at Eight Mile Plains. You will be an enthusiastic developer with an eye for detail and a desire to contribute not just code, but suggestions and innovations towards building a globally reaching, first-class product. You should be able to write great user interfaces using modern javascript technologies (Angular) within an existing framework and be comfortable contributing independently or paired up with other teammates.

As a Frontend Software Developer, you will:

• Implement user interface components using Angular, based on high level design prototypes and acceptance criteria
• Build clean re-usable components with a focus on re-use and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with backend developers, Ux designers, QA, Dev Ops, Business Analyst and Product Owner to complete user stories
• Peer Review code by other team members
• Troubleshoot issues and solve problems where needed
• Apply the latest software design techniques and contribute to the technical design of new solutions
• Contribute to API design as required by the frontend
• Develop unit tests and other tests as required
• Present work to stakeholders at sprint reviews and code review sessions
• Undertake regular skill development, using learning platforms provided
• Attend the Brisbane office once a fortnight for team meetings and as required at other times
• Some travel to customer sites in the Brisbane & surrounding area may be required

About You

To be successful you will have;

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology combined with demonstrated 3 years expertise or API and web development in a CI/CD approach.
• Industry experience in animal health or IT-enabled healthcare with enterprise SaaS products.
• Proven expertise in JavaScript, Angular, typescript, OData
• Experience in CSS frameworks
• Understanding of full-stack .NET web applications
• Good understanding of API and web development
• Good understanding of web application security
• Experience of working in a Scrum/Agile framework as part of a team of frontend, backend and QA.
• Experience with LeSS scaled agile framework desirable
• Demonstrated experience with web application security and understanding of Azure or alternative cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle, including reviewing the Design Story Writing and QA stages.
• Confidence in suggesting and making changes, seeking out opportunities for collaboration and iterating on code based on feedback.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in an AGILE working environment ideally within the IT-enabled healthcare or animal health industry (though not essential).
