THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer - DevOpsto support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. The role is based in Williamtown.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in software and devOps. (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable).
  • Prior experience in the IT industry where you gained system admin skills and have worked with various software development and configuration management tools
  • Window and Linux experience, including virtualisation and networking knowledge is an advantage
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance software development environments to improve the build and deployment process and troubleshoot issues with technical experience and expertise
  • Ensure systems and processes meet security, business and customer needs. Supporting developers and testers with good practice
  • Work as part of a team contributing to security planning and implementation in the software development environment and production systems
