Description:
Splunk is here to build a safer and more resilient digital world. The world’s leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. While customers love our technology, it’s our people that make Splunk stand out as an amazing career destination and why we’ve won so many awards as a best place to work. If you become a Splunker, we want your whole, authentic self, what we call your “million data points”. So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you.
Responsibilities:
ROLE
This role is for a Software Engineer on the new Cloud License Reporting team, which is responsible for the experiences and tools that Splunk Administrators use to understand their Splunk Cloud entitlements and visualize their license usage. This team plays a critical role in how the Splunk platform can help administrators understand the value they get from Splunk.
Splunk is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative frontend engineer to work closely with product owners and designers to build and support a suite of customer-facing Splunk applications to visualize, attribute, and optimize license usage for Splunk Cloud. You’ll also enable internal stakeholders by developing tools to monitor and investigate license usage as part of customer escalations.
This team owns the license usage experiences for the Splunk Cloud platform, which spans multiple feature requests from other product teams. So you’ll work with product owners to understand the priority of the team’s roadmap, and how we balance internal and external customer feature requests.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create modern and interactive UI using React across a suite of internal and external Splunk apps
- Break down sophisticated features and tasks
- Build comprehensive test suites to ensure maintainability and stability
- Work with UX designers and product managers to understand customer requirements
- Collaborate within the team through open design discussions and code reviews
- Participate in an automated CI / CD development model with a quality-driven release process
- Join an on-call rotation to help assess the priority of customer escalations and troubleshoot critical issues
