We think this role would be great for an adaptable and experienced backend cloud aware engineer who is ready to step into a mid-level role as well as someone with:

  • Experience with some of the following backend technologies:
  • TypeScript and Node.js
  • Nx, NestJS and Jest
  • Experience within the AWS ecosystem including (but not limited to) Terraform, ECS, RDS, Lambda, SQS and Streaming services.
  • Experience of unit and functional testing.
  • Understanding of OOP principles, design patterns and Event Driven Architectures.
  • Experience in modern development practices, such as agile, lean, CI/CD and TDD.

Responsibilities:

If you possess a curious mindset, excel in a dynamic environment, and regularly think outside the box, this role could be perfect for you. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Continuously collaborating with your agile squad via pair programming, peer code reviews, helping QA with testing, or story writing & defining tech specs with project managers and product owners.
  • Developing and supporting software products in line with product and architecture roadmaps.
  • Demonstrating strong, sustainable and collaborative software development practices that are focused on delivering high quality, readable, maintainable and appropriate code and other artefacts.
  • Actively participating in team and community events.
  • Ensuring the high quality of delivered solutions through the development and maintenance of unit and integration tests and associated pipelines.
  • Collaborating with your line manager to identify opportunities and areas of growth
