Description:

Dedicated and skilled Developer to join our Sustaining Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong coding skills, primarily in PowerBuilder, with desirable knowledge in .NET frameworks.
This role involves troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, as well as collaborating with the engineering team to maintain and enhance our software solutions’ reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by customers, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement processes to enhance code quality and application performance.
  • Adapt and maintain existing software applications, focusing on PowerBuilder-based systems, with a strong ability to integrate .NET technologies where applicable.
  • Develop and implement new features in response to customer feedback or to resolve underlying issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to project design, implementation, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to PowerBuilder and .NET, applying best practices to daily work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong portfolio in PowerBuilder applications.
  • Desirable knowledge of .NET framework and its integration with PowerBuilder.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and sustaining engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve customer issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies is a plus.
