Description:

Your role
As a Software Engineer (Elixir) your mission is to craft the next generation of our Event Inc Platform, accelerate our company growth and reimagine business automations with AI tooling.

You will

  • Be in the lead for the effort to replace all legacy system with the newly development platform
  • Ensure that all technical KPIs for the new platform consistently outperform industry standards
  • Implement solutions to eliminate manual tasks required to operate and manage the platform
  • Establish full test coverage for all use-cases and edge-cases, ensuring the highest quality and reliability of the platform

To achieve these outcomes, you will

  • Collaborate on the implementation of UI/UX improvements using LiveView and TailwindCSS to enhance the overall platform usability
  • Engage in prototyping and the rapid development of ad-hoc tools using Livebooks to address immediate business needs and opportunities
  • Undertake the exploration and analysis of legacy solutions written in Ruby, Python, PHP, and JavaScript. Rethink and modernize these legacy systems using state-of-the-art technology stacks.

What we like

  • You have proven experience in software engineering ( >3 years), preferably in a fast paced, agile environment, such as a start-up or scale-up
  • You possess deep technical knowledge and experience with Elixir, Postgres, Phoenix, LiveView and TailwindCSS
  • You have a hands-on can-do mentality: we are looking for team members, who can and want to deliver ideas end-to-end
  • You have a demonstrated ability to rapidly adapt and improve unsuccessful attempts until the desired outcome is achievched – “this can’t be done” is not part of your vocabulary
  • You are a strong communicator – from planning meetings to code documentation
  • Your analytical skills and customer focus allow you to grasp quickly what customers actually need and how to deliver it in an optimal way
  • Finally, you are proficient in English – German skills are not necessary, but are a plus

What you like

  • Let’s state the obvious: You will be part of a motivated and highly qualified team with flat hierarchies and – surprise – regular team events, such as celebrating the Hamburg harbor birthday, conquering Xletix, after work drinks on our rooftop terrace or ambitious Mario Kart tournaments
  • And of course, you will also find the obligatory fruit basket, muesli bar as well as cold and warm drinks
  • Take advantage of the discounts on various brands and trips
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from the office or from home (hybrid)
  • Interested in working with a view on the Elbe and some of Hamburg’s most famous and beautiful sights?
  • You decide which benefits suit you: with Benefitsy or the DEU ticket subsidy
  • Company pension scheme (bAV) and capital-forming benefit (VWL) of up to 100€
  • Finally, if you are not yet in Hamburg, we will support you with your visa process
