DESCRIPTION

All QA positions at CivicPlus are primarily responsible for, effective test strategy and planning, and accountable for efficient test execution and reporting, to ensure quality of deliverables for their respective teams. In addition, this position should be able to create automated tests by mocking existing tests and maintain automated test scripts, such that they meet the standards defined by the QA and Development teams.

Your Impact:

• Understand your product’s functionality and architecture. Master how various components of the product you are assigned to, integrate, and interact with each other including all third-party software integrations, and use that knowledge to develop and maintain product level test plans.
• Help team shift-left by analyzing requirements early, developing solid test strategy, ensuring effective test execution and follow-up on issues, to ensure SUT (System Under Test) is working as per specifications, follows set standards for the Product, Web, and Quality.
• Understand Page Object Model design, how it is implemented and adopted at CivicPlus, and use it effectively in testing lifecycle and workflows, ensuring the quality of each deliverable.
• Understand the role of non-functional testing like performance testing and API testing and learning the base concepts of how automation coverage can be improved along those lines.
• Identify functional areas that can automated and broaden the coverage of automated tests, maintaining existing test suites such that the tests are always ready to be executed.
• Understand and follow coding standards set by the ARB and Maintaining the documentation of existing framework and keeping it up to date with new development.

There is no perfect candidate, but we are looking for:

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical degree or diploma preferred.
• Hands on experience of writing automated scripts and maintaining automated test suites.
• Solid understanding of various types of automation frameworks and unit test frameworks, configuring and maintaining automated build servers for execution of automated test suites.
• Solid understanding with hands on experience with at-least one object-oriented programming or scripting language like JavaScript and C#.
• Hands on experience of experience working in QA team, with hands on experience of component, system, and integration testing.
• Experience in creating Test Plans and Test Strategy for regression and system testing of web-based applications.
