Description:

The Copilot Studio team is looking for a Software Engineer II in Redmond, WA, with expertise in C#. This role is pivotal in designing and building the tooling and services that enhance Copilot Studio, aligning with the Power Platform’s mission to democratize AI and empower users through a robust ecosystem.
The candidate will not only code but also drive the extension of Copilot Studio to meet professional developers’ standards. Collaboration, innovation, and a growth mindset are core to this dynamic software as a service (SaaS) & platform as a service(PaaS) team, where each member is empowered to bring ideas to fruition.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience coding in C#
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year experience in technical design, architecture, problem solving, and debugging skills.
  • 1+ year experience with build service infrastructure and writing automated tests with adequate code coverage

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

ADDITIONAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience coding in C#
  • OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience coding in C#
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working on commercial software applications or services.
  • 1+ year of experience working in a high-scale SaaS or PaaS environment, building and supporting hosted services, preferably using (Azure DevOps) ADO.
  • 1+ years’of industry experience working on commercial software application or services.
  • 1+ year’s of working in a high-scale SaaS or PaaS environment building and supporting hosted services.
  • Experience with conversational systems, building Machine Learning (ML) tooling or working with Large Language Models (LLM’s), Voice Assistant skills, natural language processing concepts (NLP) and fundamentals.
    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
