We are looking for a passionate, versatile and energetic Software Engineer II who has an innovative mind, good product sense, and great execution skills. You will work on building new ways to explore the world using Copilot to save time and boost productivity for our customers. You will apply a data-driven approach to iterate fast and adaptively.
As a part of our team, you will gain valuable experience learning about Copilot efforts across the company and work on end-to-end efforts including client experiences, web development, and integration with appropriate backend services in a compliant fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Adaptable to work across various code bases with different toolsets.
  • Good understanding in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, generative AI and multimodal learning.
  • Experience with retail and consumer goods industries, including understanding of the retail landscape, customer journey, and retail operations.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning as they apply to retail and advertising, including customer segmentation, targeting, and personalization.
  • Previous experience working with Video and/or Multimedia is a bonus.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as design documents, API specifications, and user manuals.
  • Write clean, well-thought-out code with an emphasis on quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Work with engineers, program managers, and partner teams to deliver a set of features with the right overall design and architecture.
  • Take a set of discrete tasks and align them together to solve an entire technical problem or end-to-end scenario.
  • Proficiency in Agile development practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ability to debug, read code and work on a large and increasing codebase.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions within the team.
