As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and development of highly scalable software that runs on the Akamai infrastructure
• Partnering with internal cross functional teams to translate requirements into solutions to meet business objectives
• Implementing new features, enhancing and optimizing existing features
• Contributing ideas and knowledge to process-improvement sessions team to facilitate continuous improvement of our product

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• Have good programming skills and an interest in learning new technologies
• Display in-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and test-driven development in Java and Python
• Possess hands on experience with service-oriented architecture, REST, microservices, frameworks like Spring
• Be experienced working with Databases and CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins, Maven)
• Possess excellent communication skills, be self-driven, positive and an effective team playe
