SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Data modeling, design and database programming using a variety of relational database systems (Postgres, Oracle)
• AWS S3, Redshift, Postgres, Step Functions, CloudFormation, EventBridge, Spectrum, and more
• Strong knowledge of best practice dealing with structured or unstructured datasets
• Strong ability to effectively document processes, and communicate them to others
• Strong experience with of ETL processes and database automations
• Experience using Agile software development methodologies
• Knowledge of customer data management and user authentication/authorization on websites and mobile devices is a plus
• Ability to think critically, and creatively solve problems that are in line with business objectives and strategic vision
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with leadership, data scientists, financial analysts, and data engineers to translate business questions into flexible tools and dashboards that scale across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, data science, data analytics or related field; graduate degree preferred
• 3-5+ years of database engineering and data architecture
• 3-5+ years of hands on ETL/data engineering experience
