Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
ITS, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The Software Engineer will support the Agile Portfolio Engineering team. This SME will lead an engineering team’s evolution from a traditional DoD software engineering environment to an OpenShift/cloud Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) environment in support of APE prototyping.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to recommend, configure, and maintain DevSecOps pipeline tools and environments, including OpenShift.
- Experience guiding a team of engineers from a traditional on-premise development environment to a cloud environment.
- Cloud architecture experience, with the ability to evolve legacy software into a microservices architecture and expertise with specifying the inputs, outputs and service roles within the architecture.
- Software engineering experience in an OpenShift RedHat environment
- In-depth knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.
- Expert in agile software engineering approaches; Experience applying behavior-driven and test-driven development.
- Willingness and ability to teach DevSecOps software engineering approaches to others on the team.
- Knowledge of Kobayashi Maru, Platform One, Cloud One, Space Camp, or other Air Force DevSecOps environments is preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree and 15+ years of relevant experience.
