Job Description
For our growing Mixed Reality and Viewer team we are looking for a software developer. Our passionate team develops software solutions for medical image viewing on desktop computers, surgical navigation systems and Magic Leap mixed reality devices. The intuitive software explores the capabilities of indication-specific visualizations for viewing and surgery.

You will be part of a highly motivated, dynamic and supportive team where your skills and technical know-how will be fostered within our main project - a medical image viewer for Magic Leap mixed reality devices. The position will give you the chance to contribute with your creative solutions from initial demo applications up to final product releases. Your expertise will ultimately impact the daily work in hospitals worldwide. Your tasks are:

  • Development of new and indication-specific medical image views on Magic Leap mixed reality device (Unity and C#)
  • Contributing to application development of the successful DICOM Viewer (C++ application with HTML5/JavaScript frontend)
  • Continuos development of 3D visualization framework to support new application features (HLSL)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in Computer Science, Computer Visualization or similar
  • Strong interest and good skills in software engineering and object-oriented programming in C++
  • Experience with software projects with a large code base and taking responsibility while keeping an eye on defined goals
  • Experience in an agile software development environment or are interested in developing the skills required.
  • Eagerness for continuous learning. You demonstrate a proactive attitude towards acquiring new skills
  • Problem solving skills that require knowledge from a wide range of technologies and readily embrace challenges that put you outside of your comfort zone
  • Experience in image processing, machine learning, or rendering techniques is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in the Brainlab or other medical device development processes is a plus
  • Good communication skills round up your profile and you are motivated by collaborating with team members and international partners
  • Willingness to travel internationally once in a while (<5%)
