Description:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Software Engineer (.NET) to join our dynamic and innovative development team. The role involves developing, documenting, and reviewing code for the creation and maintenance of the CBS bespoke systems, both internally and for our valued clients. In exchange, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing exciting technical projects and contributing to the evolution of our business.
The salary for this role is £40,000- £50,000 per annum. Working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role is a combination of office and remote work. You will typically work in the office at least 2 days per month, but the exact number of days may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Creating, documenting, and reviewing code for the CBS specialised systems, designed for our internal team and clients.
- Collaborating closely with Business Analysts to gain a deep understanding of user requirements and meticulously analyse them. Identifying and addressing any potential issues, impacts, risks, and more.
- Presenting ideas for enhancing systems and questioning current technologies and methodologies when suitable, while also identifying any possible cost or time savings.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies, knowledge and skills, and actively contribute to the growth of best practices within the department.
- Collaborate with the team to determine the scope and timing of tasks, conduct reviews of each other’s code.
- Gain a deep understanding of the current systems by thoroughly reviewing them, paying attention not only to the technical aspects but also how they are utilised and integrated within the business. Additionally, meticulously document the functionality of software and systems.
- Bring forward innovative ideas for enhancing systems and refining cutting-edge technologies and methodologies when suitable, while also highlighting any chances for cost or time savings.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, business goals, and industry standards.
- Liaise with the marketing team to ensure that any publicly viewable material created aligns with their requirements and strategy.
- Come out of your comfort zone and explore new technical territories.
- Design and create screens that are user-friendly and intuitive for applications.
- Take on the responsibility of providing priority support for critical system issues and necessary fixes when the situation calls for it.
- Maintaining systems by actively monitoring and resolving software defects.
- Have a good understanding of the CBS database infrastructureBe familiar with the CBS network and server infrastructure and be able to deploy software components to different servers and environments.
