Omni Federal designs, builds and operates data-rich applications leveraging advanced data modeling, machine learning and data visualization techniques to empower our customers to make better data-driven decisions.
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join Omni Federal in delivering cutting edge capabilities to the Intelligence Community to support critical development operations for global stakeholders in our nation’s defense. You would be supporting upgrades to geospatial solutions, working cross-functionally with our teams on this exciting initiative. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.

Requirements:

  • Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical degree.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in full stack development to include key languages Python 3 (including Flask), React Javascript, and Postgres SQL, with at least some experience in the last 3 years.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with shell script, Web services, and Database development, with at least some experience in the last 4 years.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with agile philosophies.
  • At least 1 years’ experience with paired programmed on an Agile team.
  • Experience with CI/CD techniques, test-driven development, and automated testing practices.
  • Experience managing big data in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with data science libraries such as Pandas, Apache Spark, or SciPy
  • Use of and development with at least one common geospatial tools dataset, and operating platform. These may include, but are not limited to

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the feature functionality of the product and voicing feasibility when ideating product solution ideas.
  • Responsible for developing new code, and maintaining and improving the performance of existing software code, with duties to design and update software databases under contract and direction from the assigned Government Product Owner.
  • Clear communication skills are expected.
  • Astute ability in performing test-driven development, in an agile software development environment, where built in automated test procedures and continuous integration of software and continuous delivery of software to the Government is the culture. This competency is required to further test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
  • Recommends improvements to existing software applications as necessary.
  • Individual shall be capable of performing the software tasks identified in the contract requirements in forming and working on the IPT.
