Description:
As a Software engineer at Nearform, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of talented engineers using a modern JavaScript stack to create new applications, features, and tools for a diverse range of clients. You will collaborate closely with client teams to provide project leadership, technical expertise, and mentorship. Additionally, you will have the chance to contribute to our community-leading open-source software. Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years of experience in software development
- 2+ years of professional experience with React
- 2+ years of experience working with a JavaScript stack and a build process
- A deep understanding of web engineering concepts, including client/server architecture, REST, and modern best practices
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated patience and a desire to both learn from and mentor others
- A passion for working in a client-facing role, with a focus on promoting code health and ensuring a smooth developer experience, while balancing client goals and timelines
EXPERIENCE WITH:
- Core JavaScript concepts and modern techniques
- A strong understanding of the React framework and its ecosystem
- Semantic HTML and CSS
- Front-end build tooling, such as Webpack/Parcel, Babel, NPM/Yarn
- Git, especially in a collaborative team environment
- Front-end testing libraries and methods, including Jest/Enzyme/react-testing-library
- Web accessibility and a11y best practices
- GraphQL
