Description:

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess or capable of obtaining an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Minimum of five plus (5+) years of software development experience
  • Experience in an agile development environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work both independently and in a team
  • Effective complex problem solving skills
  • Effective communication and analysis skills
  • Formal education or equivalent experience in a systems or software engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices throughout the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Coding experience in one or more of the following:
  • Java / JavaScript / Node.js
  • Python
  • C/C++

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience developing/integrating RESTful APIs
  • Experience developing/integrating gRPC Web Services / Google Protocol Buffers
  • Familiar with container concepts (Docker) and orchestration (Docker Compose / Kubernetes)
  • Experience creating and deploying Linux services
  • Experience in Software Defined Radio / Radio Frequency (RF) systems, platforms, or software
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline common tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, BitBucket or similar) and practices
  • Experience with Department of Defense information technology programs

Responsibilities:

  • Works with development team lead(s), development team in an agile environment with a dynamic group of software developers
  • Performs as a team player, dedicated to program support, capable of multitasking and working complex and diverse tasks with and meeting defined deadlines
  • Performs as a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas
  • Develops software and implements APIs in Python, JavaScript, Java; ability to troubleshoot and refactor existing code base
  • Aids in architecture development of software/firmware systems for embedded System on Chip (SoC) hardware platforms
  • Performs development and deployment of containerized software solutions
  • Designs communications between distributed software components providing software and systems integration of multiple, disparate systems to provide new functionality
  • Develops and delivers software, conduct software code review, develop user documentation, design and execute unit/integration/system test cases, test artifacts, test documentation
  • Provides software and systems integration of multiple, disparate systems to provide new functionality
  • Utilizes developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, employing technical writing techniques
  • Research and recommend implementation for system features as well as improvements for existing system functionality
  • Interprets requirements and responds to requested changes
