Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer to join our Security Enhanced Information Sharing (SEIS) Mission Area, to help drive the quality assurance of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) solution that SealingTech is creating for the Department of Defense.
As a Software Engineer I, you will be part of our agile team, supporting the execution of our development effort, and meeting the needs of our customers. You will participate in all aspects of solution development including problem solving, scripting, programming, integration, and testing. You will attend daily standup status meetings and contribute to sprint planning and closeout demonstrations. You will learn and use multiple programming languages, Linux distributions, and development tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- 4 years of experience or equivalent education
- 1 year of experience with Python and can perform development tasks when given specific instructions
- General understanding of security concepts such as least privilege, authorization, authentication, confidentiality, and integrity
- Familiar with software development lifecycle concepts and secure coding practices
- Comfortable using the Linux CLI
- Experience using Git and at least one build tool
- Basic understanding of unit and functional tests
- Basic understanding of Agile development process
- Able to participate and add contributions during sprint closeout/planning meetings
- Able to work on smaller, well-defined development and documentation tasks
- Good communication skills
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATION:
- A working knowledge of other programming or scripting languages
- Experience with full-stack Web development
- REST API development and DB backend experience
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Experience with MS Teams, JIRA, and SharePoint
- Security+ certified
- Linux+ certified
- Knowledge of High-Performance Computing
- Knowledge of Ansible
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps
