Sharp has an excellent new opportunity for a Software Engineer to join the Development team in Wakefield
Hybrid working - office and home.
The Developer will be responsible for the development, testing and release of code and ensuring that the requirements of the original specification have been fully met. Responsible for developing applications for Sharp UK in line with business requests for program enhancements and new developments.
You will have the ability to turn business functional designs and feature requests into detailed technical specifications and designs and be able to develop within an agile environment in line with ISO 27001 security requirements.
Developments will be undertaken using the latest Microsoft Technologies under the .NET umbrella, most notably Blazor.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, test and develop applications to meet business needs.
  • Committing, merging, and deploying work using source control and dev ops tools.
  • Database creation and maintenance for the wider business using SQL/SMSs.
  • Employing a variety of programming languages and frameworks including .NET, C#, Blazor, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, IIS and more
  • Ability to interpret functional specifications and user requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Work with other departments to evaluate specifications and requirements.
  • Quality assurance through proven methodologies such as code reviews and database maintenance.
