Software Engineer - Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Perform model-based algorithm design, develop mechatronic controls strategy and diagnostics for conventional ICE and Battery Electric Vehicle embedded Electronic Control Units (ECU) including Mechanical All Wheel Drive (MAWD) and Electric All Wheel Drive (EAWD) functionality in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Engine Control Module (ECM), in MATLAB, Simulink, and Embedded C programming languages. Perform embedded ECU testing on test bench and in vehicle, using MATLAB, Simulink based Hardware in the Loop (HIL), ETAS INCA, ETAS MDA, Vehicle Spy, Vector CANape, Vector CANoe, and virtual testing using Vector CANoe, Vector Virtual Test Target and GMSim tools, to verify functionality at Function, Controller and System levels prior to production release.
• Perform peer reviews and unit level Model in the Loop (MIL) and Software in the Loop (SIL) testing using Ring Behavioral Testing Tool (RiBeTT) to reduce rework requests and achieve zero software defects.

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• One (1) year of experience as an Engineer, Developer, or related role.
• Experience performing embedded ECU testing on test bench and in vehicle using Vector CANoe, and virtual testing using Vector Virtual Test Target, to verify functionality at Function and System levels prior to production release.
