Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
- Contribute to critical product, infrastructure, and technical development within the most advanced deep technology platform for chemistry.
- Work closely with industry-leading senior software engineers and data scientists to advance core products and the overall robustness of the technical solutions of the company.
- Contribute to the codebase, test coverage, documentation, in expanding the reach of the platform, improving its robustness and test coverage, and execute the software and robotics integration tests of the software applications of the team.
- Collaborating closely with members from the other teams at Chemify - chemistry, hardware, operations and cheminformatics.
- Experience a Silicon Valley style start-up in the heart of Glasgow!
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with robotic systems to test performance of embedded, controls, UI/UX, and other software components driving the execution of chemistry within the laboratory
- Take on software development tasks under the guidance of senior engineers: build new features, ensure better test coverage, supporting infrastructure, etc
- Facilitate and better automate integration tests for robust and more frequent deployments seamlessly into operations.
- Collaborate in the writing of test suites for the existing software applications in Python.
- Help in the development of new features for the software applications that allow the planning and automated execution of experiments.
- Participate in technical conversation.
- Assist with the writing of the Software and user documentation.
- Taking the initiative to suggest improvements to working practices
