Position Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to grow and lead a team of backend and frontend engineers, as well as drive the diverse software projects needed to drive GoodLeap’s mission around affecting investments in the climate-impacting home improvements space.
You will own efforts to develop, deploy, and maintain production-quality cloud native applications utilizing public cloud technology and solutions using technologies like AWS, Azure, etc. This is a dynamic environment with high leadership visibility that requires managing a team with diverse skill sets located remotely across the EU, Central, and North America.

Responsibilities:

(SOME OF) WHAT YOU WILL DO HERE:

  • Lead a growing team of 5-10 highly motivated and talented software engineers
  • Drive a goal-based software development process, balancing the product roadmap against technical infrastructure and security improvements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other groups including (but not limited to) product management, quality, ADLs, UX, data science, business development, and operations
  • Help to assess, create, and execute on hiring plans
  • Cultivate an environment of collaboration, transparency and passion for technical excellence
  • Develop, train, and mentor software engineering staff
  • Help the team make decisions, keep moving forward, and propose changes and improvements to promote scalable, reliable, and maintainable technologies
