Responsibilities:

WHAT DOES THE ROLE LOOK LIKE?

We are looking for a talented individual to work within the Project team comprising of Software Integration Engineers and Project Managers. You will be working on taking the Actuation business on our Digital Journey. We’re open to background but what is key, is your ability to work with a variety of stakeholders supporting them on their digital transformation journey!
Our business increasingly demands increased integration and dynamic/real time digital solutions. We have numerous exciting projects in all areas of the business many demanding new solutions and application integration. You will be working towards industry 4.0 and help create an integrated and connected factory which brings value to the customer and the business.
You will be working with in a team of people that that are developing and implementing applications across the business, they will also be implementing applications flown down by enterprise. They will be designing and implementing applications that meet business needs to improve productivity. The role will include a range of skills from understanding applications requirements from the business and working with Collins Corporate DT to architect a solution, coding in house application either with an IOT platform or a web application and creating reports through reporting tools.

WHAT WILL YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES LOOK LIKE?

  • You will take an active role in the implementation of various projects in support of the Digital Strategy as we transformation our business supporting new application integrations & the creation of new applications
  • Work collaboratively with Advanced Structures SBU to deliver projects jointly.
  • Increasing business process efficiency through automation of transactions.
  • Develop and maintain critical relationships with business and customers.
  • Ensure testing is carried out both within the team and with customers to ensure there are no turnbacks and implementation are right first time
  • Participate in initiatives that include, but are not limited to delivering application solutions, integrations, service improvement, managed services and outsourcing agreements.
  • Use Agile principles to act as a Scrum Master where applicable.
  • Actively support the EH&S policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements through the management of the risk management process, proactively removing risk from our manufacturing processes, especially where their sub-discipline is concerned.
  • Ensure the customer is at the heart of everything you do.
