ABOUT THE JOB

Sigma Defense is currently seeking a Software Integration & Test Engineer to provide on-site support to DevOps by developing and testing software tools within a containerized environment using open-source software. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university and hold an active DoD-issued Secret security clearance. Key software and program experience required includes proficiency in Linux, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Rook, Ansible, JIRA, GitLab, and CI/CD Pipelines. Mandatory certifications such as Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA, or GSEC are required. The candidate should have 2-5 years of experience installing, testing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS, along with familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications. Other essential skills include general technical knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage system components, experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and automation tools, and the ability to administer and monitor Kubernetes clusters. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, switch between various architectural paradigms, and execute test codes for software performance characterization.
