POSITION OVERVIEW:

Unirac seeks a dynamic Software Manager to drive the direction and execution of our software projects. This role is pivotal in gathering and synthesizing customer feedback, aligning with the management team on the software roadmap, and managing relationships with third-party partners. The ideal candidate will excel in product assessment and converting strategic discussions into actionable plans. Traditional software coding skills are not required. QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in collecting and synthesizing the voice of the customer.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to assess competitor products and convey key advantages and weaknesses. Able to present position and facilitate strategy discussions. Able to distill strategy conversations and turn them into action.
  • Able to serve as liaison between different internal and external stakeholders including leadership, software team, external consultants etc.
  • Able to provide direction on software functionality and feedback on deliverables to drive execution.
  • NOT a software developer - at least not your typical software developer. No need for coding skills or classic software project management experience

Responsibilities:

  • Owner of Software Voice of Customer
  • Meet with users to elicit customer feedback.
  • Monitor online forums, social media, and competitor activities and capture insights.
  • Synthesize internal and external VOC into proposed software direction and requirements.
  • Align with management team on roadmap.
  • Facilitate ongoing internal discussion regarding overall software direction and strategy.
  • Influence the direction, usability, and roadmap for software projects.
  • Distill management team discussions into prioritized roadmap activities.
  • Facilitate partnerships and integration.
  • Own relationships between 3rd party partners regarding software integrations
  • Maintain communication with 3rd party integration teams.
  • Manage execution of software projects
  • Manage portfolio of ongoing software projects and applications
  • Execute opportunities decided on by management team.
  • Monitor and report on development team progress.
  • Escalate challenges or barriers to progress.
    Stakeholder Liaison - Facilitate communication and feedback flow between customer, development team, external consultants, and other service providers
