Software Packaging Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for an Software Packaging Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with Administrative and Operational Budget solution;
• Excellent knowledge of executable binaries formats: EXE, MSI, MSIX, APPX;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft App-V virtualization technology;
• Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems;
• Excellent knowledge of software distribution systems like LANDesk and Microsoft SCCM;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, GPO policies and Windows registry;
• Good knowledge of Windows scripting languages like VBS and PowerShell;
• Excellent command of the English language.

• Creation of binaries suitable for distribution and installation in endpoints;
• Involves the creation of packages, envelops, or wraps in different formats;
• Analyze pre and post installation requirements, steps to install, trace, log, and capture exit codes both for regular applications, App-V, MSI, MSIX or other standard installers;
• Design, development, and implementation of specific software installation solutions (including in hybrid cloud context);
• Management of IS Services related with applications packages (i.e., software distribution, automated software updates services, etc.)
