Would you like to be in the front of driving digitalization for our industrial customers? We are looking for a self-driven Software Project Engineer at ABB Oy, Process Industries Division, in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki. In this role, you will be working in digital solutions project activities around Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of several interesting projects and other activities in our business. We can offer you a challenging position in an international working environment where you have the opportunity for personal development. The role will require some travelling mainly in Europe.

Your responsibilities:

• You will be focusing mainly in the following areas and activities in our Industrial Digitalization-, Energy Management-, and Process Information System projects:
• Acting as technical specialist in ABB Ability History View based projects
• Designing and implementing projects as a member of a project team, including acceptance testing and training
• Working with the customer to understand their specific industry, environment, and needs, to tailor their ABB Ability system
• Striving to find new opportunities to extract more value from existing customer environments with ABB Ability products

Your background:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies in IT, Process Automation, or equal level knowledge
• Customer oriented team player with good communication skills in English and strong initiative
• Demonstrable ability to understand and manage various complex digital customer environments
• Experience in industrial digitalization and/or energy management projects
• Experience with the ABB Ability product suite is appreciated
• Understanding of real time SQL databases & Windows software development (C#, Python) and of web-based user interface design
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI and related interfaces such as ODBC, OData are considered as advantages
• Knowledge of industrial processes (power plants, metal industry, pulp & paper) are considered as advantages
• Knowledge or interest in Industrial Energy Efficiency and Energy Economics are considered as advantages
