OVERVIEW
At agencyQ, our team members partner with our clients to develop digital solutions driven by our knowledge and strategic expertise. We are searching for an insightful and passionate Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Washington DC.
The primary function of this Software QA Engineer will be to maintain and help guide overall quality standards for all company software based products through the use of systematic processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2-5 year’s experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Using software quality assurance tools and processes
- Experience within a larger scrum team and agile processes
- Software testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
- Experience with web application and website design, including CMS functionality
- Expertise in Jira case management and bug writing
- Expertise in Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright other industry standard testing tools
- Experience with Sitecore, Kentico or other .NET enterprise technology a plus
Responsibilities:
- Design test plans and test processes for typically Internet-based web applications, sites and platforms
- Analyze design and determine test scripts, coding, automation, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution (Cypress/ Playwright)
- Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identify, debug, and create solutions for issues with code and integration into software and firmware architecture
- Use industry standard testing tools but also be able to develop tools, environments and scripts to automate test execution
- Represent the software quality assurance team for all phases of larger and more complex development projects
- Proactive in documenting issues and finding solution with development peers
- Maintain documentation of testing to assist in debugging software.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
- Ensure 508 accessibility requirements are met
