Description:

Azara Healthcare is seeking a Software Quality Engineer with high attention to detail and a desire to improve everything they lay their hands on. You will work on validating clinical quality measures and other clinical reports using aggregated customer data as well as generated test data. This is an opportunity to be part of the healthcare industry’s rapid transformation as Azara works with our clients to identify and address real opportunities for improvement in cost and healthcare quality.
The team uses agile and test-driven development practices for new development as well as for refactoring and enhancing existing software. All work is done in a team setting with a focus on team accountability and success. REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technology/science degree or equivalent experience testing complex applications.
  • 3-5 years experience in software quality assurance.
  • Experience in Healthcare and Healthcare quality metrics is highly preferred.
  • Experience with back-end database testing and data validation.
  • Proficiency with SQL is required.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL, including t-sql and t-sqlt, is desired.
  • Experience with automation tools and testing APIs is desired.
  • Aptitude in breaking down requirements into well-designed, logical test cases to validate completion and user acceptance.
  • Experience with Quality Management systems to track bugs and report on test case execution (like TFS, Jira, etc…).
  • Working knowledge of Python is desirable.
  • Capable of working collaboratively and cross-functionally, working to Agile principles.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of processes.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Willingness to follow established standards and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough testing in a timely manner for complex reporting object logic.
  • Prepare test plans and other test documentation for all functionality covered.
  • Create automated tests for validating electronic quality measure logic using SQL.
  • Validation of complex data processing results through direct SQL queries and through front end testing.
  • Test product web services and APIs.
  • Develop and maintain test data for automated tests using SQL and Python.
  • Manage the continuous integration process, alerting the development team of failures.
  • Troubleshoot difficult support issues utilizing SQL and healthcare knowledge.
  • Provide technical assistance for the support team.
  • Promote quality, not only in our products but also in our processes across all teams.
