Description

SAIC is seeking a strong Software Systems Architect who will help define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for solutions developed by the customer’s Technical Director/Chief Architect. The candidate will work across the customer’s organization to help elaborate on the system architecture, validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives and create a continuous delivery pipeline. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to guide systems engineering efforts
  • Collaborate with customer leadership to define and execute technology strategies that support next generation architectures
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure architectural solutions align with business objectives
  • Create roadmaps that outline the steps and milestones needed to implement architectural solutions and address business challenges effectively
  • Develop technical recommendations and high-level design documents that provide clear guidance on technology solutions, including architecture, components and integration strategies
  • Review technical aspects of projects, ensuring they adhere to architectural standards and best practices
  • Identify and mitigate architectural risks and issues, ensuring the stability and security of systems and applications

Qualifications

  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience can be substituted
  • Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience as a Systems Architect of software systems, including formal systems engineering experience
  • Experience developing all forms of architecture artifacts, including system diagrams and interface control documents
  • Experience in the development of candidate technology solutions and be able to present solution and portfolio strategies to customers at all levels
  • Ability to maintain an integrated master schedule
  • Ability to maintain tactical and strategic roadmaps

Desired:

  • Understanding of data flows, data infrastructure, data repositories, data security and data catalogues
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous development pipelines
  • Experience/knowledge of application DevSecOps integration
  • Ability to push the boundaries to enable development and deployment of next generation architectures
  • Cross-domain (multi-level guard) experience
  • Secure data management experience
  • Cloud Native/Cloud Interdependent Technology experience
  • Experience with architectures to operationalize advanced analytics/machine learning/artificial intelligence
