JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Testing Engineer specializing in AS400, Jira, and Postman to join QA team. As a Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems that integrate with AS400 platforms, utilizing Jira for issue tracking, and Postman for API testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, ensuring smooth and efficient software delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and executing test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
• Testing applications and APIs developed for AS400 environments using tools like Postman.
• Creating and maintaining automated test scripts for regression testing.
• Collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve software defects.
• Utilizing Jira for defect tracking, workflow management, and reporting.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Providing timely and accurate QA status reports to stakeholders.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Testing Engineer or similar role.
• Solid understanding of AS400 systems and experience testing applications on this platform.
• Proficiency in using Jira for issue tracking and project management.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar API testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with SQL queries for database validation.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
