About the Role
18 Month Fixed Term Contract Role | Melbourne Based
We are seeking a Solar Sales Consultant to join our team at AGL, where you will play a crucial role in engaging with customers, qualifying their needs, and educating them about the benefits of solar, batteries, and VVP (Virtual Power Plants).
AGL is currently implementing new products and offers, including ‘behind the meter’ initiative and as a part of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting and selling cutting-edge solutions.
You will report directly to the Energy Management team leaders, working closely to promote and sell batteries, solar panels, and related energy products. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for consumer protection.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Sell residential battery, solar, and energy products, meeting sales KPIs consistently.
  • Manage leads and opportunities to achieve weekly and monthly targets effectively.
  • Assist in battery sales process administration, including customer communications and account management tasks.
  • Support Energy Management Go-to-Market strategy by implementing campaigns and providing valuable feedback.
  • Collaborate with external entities for customer subsidy applications.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain high NPS scores.
  • Aid in reporting tasks, optimize processes, and assist in automation efforts.
  • Proficiently handle multiple systems concurrently.

About you:

  • Customer service, sales, or account management skills
  • Positive attitude, strong negotiation skills and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and build rapport with our customers
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work with multiple systems concurrently, proficiency in core Microsoft products
  • Are available to work on a rotational roster between Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm
  • Experience within a phone-based role.
