Job Description

POSITION SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION

Position is responsible for operation and maintenance for solar PV module collection systems, tracker components, and inverters on multiple solar farms to achieve safe, efficient and environmentally sound plant operations. Maintains all tools and shops for all work locations in a safe and efficient condition. Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical components within the solar arrays and inverters. Inspection is performed daily for system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power. Work in conjunction with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) suppliers and Vendors to repair, replace or otherwise maintain all solar farms. In addition, will maintain farm maintenance records in the computer-based work management system. Job will include other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Shift work (including nights) and travel to other nearby sites (within a region) will be required. A region is defined as an area of land that includes multiple solar farms within a reasonable, daily, driving distance.

  • Perform duties in accordance with the Company’s safety rules and operating regulations, and practice

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition

  • Provides inspection of electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for a solar field and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

  • Performs daily inspection for system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing modules from tracking.
  • PM work, corrective work, and component replacement on BESS & Inverters Systems

  • Lighting replacements

  • Breaker Racking & troubleshooting

  • Perform Lockout/Tagout activities
  • Work in conjunction with OEM suppliers and Vendors to repair, replace or otherwise maintain all solar farms.
  • Snowplow as required to access components

Maintain solar farm maintenance records in specified work management system across multiple devices

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
