EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR A SOLICITOR / LAWYER TO WORK WITHIN A DYNAMIC AND SPECIALIST CHILD PROTECTION TEAM

Invicta Law’s Child Protection Team prides itself on offering expert legal advice and support to local authority clients in all areas of child protection law. We have an exciting opportunity for a Child Protection Lawyer to join our team of experienced professionals. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with initiative, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a real commitment to the job. You will work within a friendly and supportive team environment where your professional development will be nurtured and appreciated.
This role can be fully remote as we have the ability for the right candidate to live and work anywhere in the UK with some flexibility in working hours. We value equality and diversity in our friendly and welcoming team within which expert administrative support is on offer to allow you to focus on a varying and engaging caseload. There is also an expert IT support team available to offer remote technical support.
The successful candidate will have at least 6 months experience in key areas of child protection law and ideally have experience of working for a local authority. However, if you can evidence good transferable legal skills to move into this area of law, we will support your development and transition to childcare law. Consideration will be given to applicants from private practice with relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to local authority clients on various aspects of child protection law and conduct a full caseload of public childcare law proceedings.
  • Must be able to quickly take on a caseload with minimal supervision and maintain files to a high standard.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Flexible and adaptable within the range of work for the post.
  • Time record accurately and manage time efficiently.
  • Maintain SRA standards and ethics at all times.
